Description We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this role, you will support the financial operations of a manufacturing company by performing essential accounting tasks. This position requires attention to detail, a commitment to accuracy, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Process and match invoices, ensuring accurate batching and coding.

Handle expense reports and process payments, including checks.

Manage accounts receivable invoicing and address issues in accounts payable.

Sort, log, and file financial documents such as invoices and checks.

Verify and expedite special handling for checks as needed.

Provide excellent customer service to internal business partners.

Assist with internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.

Open, sort, and distribute department mail on a daily basis.

Perform administrative tasks to support the finance department.

Execute daily accounting procedures and controls in compliance with company policies. Requirements - Previous experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

Proficiency in coding invoices and processing financial transactions.

Familiarity with Dynamics GP software is highly desirable.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.

Experience with document sorting, filing, and recordkeeping.

Knowledge of audit preparation and financial documentation.
