Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Project Manager will plan, direct, and deliver complex, multi-site supply chain initiatives that enhance sourcing strategy, improve resilience, and optimize cost and service. This role provides project leadership-scoping, scheduling, resource management, and stakeholder alignment-while coordinating a cross-functional team of sourcing, procurement, logistics, operations, and engineering professionals in Global, Division, BU & Site level teams. A key responsibility is to run strategic projects to build high performing, sustainable and robust supplier networks, ensuring supply continuity and long-term competitiveness. The role will also work closely with Global/ Division Supplier Managers, BU Supply Chain directors and Site Procurement teams to successfully deliver strategic projects.
Responsibilities:
End-to-End Project Leadership
Demonstrate full ownership of project scope, schedule, cost, and performance from initiation through completion.
Ensure a clear, "clean order" project start and manage scope changes through formal change control.
Coordinate cross-functional project teams, clarify roles, and resolve resource or schedule conflicts.
Strategic Supply Chain Execution:
Translate corporate supply chain strategy (e.g., rationalization, market diversification, global sourcing expansion, cost optimization or other major supply chain development initiatives) into executable project plans.
Deliver measurable results such as improved resilience, cost savings, and service-level gains.
Run strategic projects to build sustainable and robust supplier networks.
Sourcing Projects:
Lead major sourcing-related projects that strengthen the global supplier base and reduce risk.
Collaborate with sourcing, procurement and engineering teams to qualify new suppliers and ensure capacity readiness.
Guide competitive bidding, total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis, and long-term agreement (LTA) negotiations at the project level.
Align sourcing decisions with overall project objectives, ensuring continuity of supply and cost competitiveness.
Governance & Communication:
Provide timely project updates, milestones, and risk assessments to leadership and stakeholders.
Escalate issues following established processes and ensure customer and stakeholder expectations are met or exceeded.
Financial & Performance Management:
Manage project budgets and spending expectations.
Define and track KPIs to measure success and capture lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.
4+ years of supply chain, procurement, sourcing or relevant experience with 3+ years in project or program management, preferably in valve manufacturing, oil & gas equipment, or heavy industrial sectors.
Proven success delivering large, cross-functional projects with quantifiable results.
Strong project management skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet).
Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management abilities.
Strong team-building, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP, or equivalent certification.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and analytics tools (Power BI, Excel)
Around 25% travel, domestically and internationally as required.
