Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist to provide support to our team in our Clearfield, UT location.
Defines and develops paint line schedule requirements. Determines build plan schedule needs and sends out priorities to multiple departments. Responsible for the assessment of build plan, aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements, plans inventory, distribution requirements (IMOs), production planning. Participates in long-term capacity and resource planning, product phase-in/phase-out for FAI and part revisions, manufacturing ramp-up increasing build schedule deliverables, and product-line management. Analyzes and aggregates supply / demand requirements. Analyzes material availability and supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools. Plans inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements. Assesses capacity for current and short-term manufacturing requirements. Creates/reduces supply requirements based on inventory adjustments. Participates in long-term capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs. Interfaces with departments regarding inventory levels, delivery date requirements (OTD), other areas as needed. Creates/releases work orders and determines priorities based on capacity, tooling availability, and material. Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path requirements. Manages fluctuating production priorities and resolves scheduling conflicts to meet on-time delivery goals. Ensures that the plan is dynamic, detail-oriented, and constraint-focused. Utilizes SAP, Sync Manufacturing, and Solumina to review build plan, due dates, and daily schedule plan.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintain a strong business acumen and ability to operate in a fast-paced development environment,
Interface with the supply base to track work orders, delivery dates and resolve issues.
Develop, coordinate, and execute material forecasting and delivery schedule.
Generates and sends out schedule and priorities to build plan.
Reviews inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements.
Creates/reduces supply requirements based on inventory adjustments
Performs Physical Counts in all Clearfield Warehouse locations for direct and indirect materials based on business needs.
Updates count data for all locations and material consumptions.
Completes adjustments/ transactions in the system to correct variance if needed.
Makes schedule based on data analytics, constraints based, analysis tool and material availability.
This position may be filled as a Level 3 or Level 4 based on the qualifications outlined below.
Basic Qualifications:
Supply Chain Planning Specialist (Level 3):
A bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 5 years of supply chain and/or material inventory in a manufacturing or aerospace environment; OR 9 years of supply chain and/or material planning in a manufacturing or aerospace environment; OR a master's degree and 3 years of supply chain and/or material planning in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
Experience collecting and organizing master scheduling and build plan to meet on time delivery dates.
US citizenship
Supply Chain Planning Specialist (Level 4):
A bachelor's degree from an accredited university and 8 years of supply chain and/or material inventory in a manufacturing or aerospace environment; OR 12 years of supply chain and/or material planning in a manufacturing or aerospace environment; OR a master's degree and 6 years of supply chain and/or material planning in a manufacturing or aerospace environment
Experience collecting and organizing master scheduling and build plan to meet on time delivery dates.
US citizenship

Primary Level Salary Range: $78,700.00 - $118,100.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,100.00 - $147,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
