General Description
The Grant s Finance Analyst is responsible for providing day-to-day financial transact ions, fiscal administration, and financial reporting of OTPS expenditures . They must be able to work within a small, entrepreneurial environment that is mission-driven and community oriented . They must also have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, be very detailed oriented , and have strong administrative and organizational skills . Associates must be capable of multi-task ing in a fast- paced , work collaboratively with colleagues and partners o f all levels , and communicate effectively on all aspects of the project.

Other Duties
Monitoring and tracking OTPS spending across all accounts within their assigned grant portfolio
Overseeing maintenance of internal spending tracking systems
Processing invoices for the programs they manage, ensuring timely payments and coordinating cost transfers as needed
Creating OTPS Budget v. Actual monthly reports to Program Directors
Conducting regular internal auditing of all accounts
Meeting regularly with departments to identify spending issues and opportunities versus budget
Managing electronic and paper filing systems
Train new finance and program staff on budget policies, processes and financial systems
Assisting with the preparation of financial reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis for all accounts to support reconciliations and account closures
Managing relationships at John Jay College, RFCUNY and CUNY as well as other external partners
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration , Business Administration, Accounting or Finance or related field with a minimum of 1 years' experience in administration with an emphasis on finance.
Excellent communications skills
Experience preparing financial reports for various audiences (e.g., program staff, director, funders, etc.)
Proven ability to analyze financial circumstances and provide financial recommendations to Operations team leadership
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced organization and handle multiple accounts simultaneously
Ability to interact effectively and cooperatively with colleagues and partners at all levels
Experience with MS Office and Outlook
Proficiency in MS Excel
