We know how to identify and implement innovative solutions for our client's toughest challenges. and#10; and#10;Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Operations Manager to perform and oversee highway maintenance operations in the Memphis, TN area. The project is a multi-year, performance-based, transportation asset management contract with Tennessee's Department of Transportation. This position requires incident management coordination as well as supervision of in-house maintenance crews and area managers which includes a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, including but not limited to, pothole patching, drain cleaning, vegetation management, sweeping, ground signs, road patrol, incident response, and more. Adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen company policies and procedures. and#10; and#10;Required Experience: and#10;Minimum of five (5) years of construction related experience, Basic knowledge Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Google Earth Strong, leadership qualities; must have experience in overseeing, directing and leading construction crews. and#10; and#10;Preferred Experience: and#10;Maintenance of Traffic Certifications and#10;Knowledge in Herbicide application/licensing in Right of way and aquatic pest and#10;Planning, scheduling, and estimating and#10;General knowledge with regards to highway lighting and#10; and#10;Clean driving record is essential and#10;Must pass criminal background check and#10; and#10;Qualifications: and#10;High School Diploma/GED and#10;Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing) and#10;Operating and maintaining company vehicles and equipment and#10;Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations and#10;Carry out simple arithmetic functions and#10;Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job and#10;Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology and#10;Ability to use smart phone and applications and#10;Ability to adjust to changing work schedule and#10;Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions and#10;Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required and#10;Ability to operate hand/power tools and#10;Obtain herbicide license with in 6 months of hire and#10; and#10;Schedule: and#10;Full time; Must be flexible, able to travel, and work varying schedules. and#10; and#10;Total Compensation Package to include: Competitive base pay, annual profitability based bonus, recognition incentives and extensive training opportunities.
