Your role at Clorox:
The Operations Department Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of departmental operations to ensure safety, quality, production efficiency, and cost effectiveness. In this role, you will serve as a key resource and leader for manufacturing team members, driving daily execution and continuous improvement across the floor.
You will take ownership of team development, performance management, and accountability-building a high-performing, engaged workforce. A core part of your responsibilities will include implementing process improvement strategies aimed at reducing waste and enhancing overall operational efficiency.
As a leader in operational excellence with a continuous improvement mindset, you will also guide and lead cross-functional Implementation Task Force Teams to support strategic initiatives within your department.
**The position will have responsibility for department that works different shifts. Primary hours will be 6:00 am to 3:30 pm.
In this role, you will:
Lead and coordinate all resources required to support key operational areas including, Safety, Quality, Production, Team accountability
Ensure daily management systems are in place to drive root cause analysis, implement process-centered interventions and achieve follow-up on identified actions
Drive performance to meet or exceed operating targets: Daily, weekly, monthly, and annual goals, metrics include safety, quality, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), cost, and material utilization
Establish and maintain process/workflow direction for the shift to provide input into team member performance and evaluations and manage escalation of issues beyond frontline capabilities
Primary presence will be on the manufacturing floor
Directly lead teams and processes to deliver results
Ensure and promote a safe working environment by model and reinforce safe behaviors as well as building strong team relationships to foster a culture of safety
Coach and lead team members to achieve goals in: safety, quality, efficiency
Develop and engage teams to drive daily operations accountability and strengthen team ownership and execution
Provide consistent leadership through regular feedback, ongoing coaching and mentoring and collaborative problem-solving and performance discussions
Implement intervention strategies by optimize team effectiveness as well as support continuous improvement and growth
Lead sustainability and improvement initiatives using TRACC methodology: centerline management, cleaning, inspection, and lubrication (CILs) and abnormality tracking and resolution
Drive world-class operational standards through leadership of cross-functional improvement teams and development and execution of tactical strategies to meet and sustain operational goals
What we look for:
4+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
2+ years of proven leadership experience managing teams and driving results on the operations floor.
Strong knowledge of production planning, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles.
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Working knowledge of OSHA standards and other relevant safety regulations.
Exposure to World Class Manufacturing (WCM), Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) or food manufacturing environments is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate high-performing teams.
Strong interpersonal and people skills with a proven ability to build trust and engage employees at all levels.

Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.
-Zone A: $88,700 - $165,900
-Zone B: $81,300 - $152,100
-Zone C: $73,900 - $138,300
