We're searching for a Manager, Logistics Operations to join our growing operations team and play a key role in driving our vision forward.
What You'll Do:
As a Logistics Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for managing all aspects of materials management and transportation, including but not limited to shipping, receiving, storage, inventory accuracy, and internal order fulfillment, working as a key leader in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. You will develop and/or support key performance indicators in your areas, track progress, and drive continuous improvement. You will review logs, datasheets, and reports to ensure proper inventory controls are maintained .
Essential Functions:
Supervise logistics operations or warehouse employees.
Negotiates and reviews freight forwarder's rates, insurance, contracts, and non-recurring costs.
Reviews freight forwarders and 3PLs in scopes of day-to-day performances and processes interfaced with Luminator.
Conducts current day-to-day operational improvement, logistics design and operational support.
Performs day-to-day processes including receiving goods, shipping products, claiming in-transit damage, planning shipment schedules, ensuring customs clearances, managing logistics costs, and processing shipping documentation.
Performs analysis on performance data and is the lead in interfacing with the local forwarders and 3rd Party Logistics Service Provider on activities contracted with Luminator.
Responsible for conformance of contractual requirements, costs, and compiling reports of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for the support of logistics flows on materials and finished goods.
Monitors and directs activities for scorecard responses and issues for outsourced distribution forward logistics.
Maintains and conduct relations and processes with outsourced freight and local forwarders and is the focal point for escalating performance issues.
Maintains accurate shipment date to schedule wherever possible and recommends improvement as it relates to logistics SOPs.
Excellent problem-solving skills. Can use data. Process oriented.
Focal contact for accounting issues in scopes of A/P, A/R, duties and taxes.
Develops and implements logistics processes to fulfill the contractual requirements.
Ensures continuous process improvements and maintain the current processes for tracking of ASNs, Pre-alerts, Purchase Orders, Back Orders, A/P and A/R reconciliations, Customer ASNs Sales Orders, inbound and outbound reports.
Coordinates new product launch activities including attending meetings and planning to make sure for seamless supply chain flow.
Performs accurate record keeping process regarding shipping documents and associated purchase orders.
Ensure inventory movements are managed accurately and align with our ERP system inputs.
Enforce rules and regulations.
Ensure operational safety.
Monitor equipment, systems, or facilities in relation to annual budget expenditures.
Review safety documents for annual compliance reviews.
Provide guidance and direction to subordinates including but not limited to setting performance standards and addressing labor relation issues.

What You'll Bring to the Team:
Qualifications:
Education : Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or engineering required. MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of management experience in distribution, logistics, supply chain management, or related field.
Computer Skills: Technical and business knowledge to include financial modeling and analysis using Microsoft Excel; proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications is also required, including but not limited to Word and PowerPoint. Prior experience with ERP environments and planning in database tools required.
Certificates & Licenses : APICS, CSCP, or CLTD highly preferred
Other Requirements:
Goal-oriented and possesses the ability to prioritize on a consistent basis in an ever-changing environment. Excellent analytical, negotiation, organization and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, Board members, Committee members or other outside partners.
