The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for managing the accounts payable function which includes general ledger postings, monitoring accounts payable aging reports, and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices.
Job Details Compensation: Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. Actual compensation will be based on a candidate's job-related skills, experience, education or training, and location. The annual base pay range for this position is $85,000.00 - $105,000.00.
Additional Compensation: Employees may be eligible to receive annual incentive bonuses depending on their job classification and the policy guidelines.
Benefits: Employees are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and vision insurance, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, and telemedicine benefits. Employees are provided company-paid basic life and AD&D insurance as well as short-term and long-term disability. Employees are also able to enroll in the company's 401k retirement savings plan.
Paid Time Off: Employees accrue 0.0654 hours of PTO per hour worked up to a maximum of 136 hours per calendar year. Employees receive 6 paid holidays throughout the calendar year and employees accrue up to a maximum of 4 paid floating holidays per calendar year.

SUMMARY
The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for managing the accounts payable function which includes general ledger postings, monitoring accounts payable aging reports, and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Manages a staff of 3-5 accounts payable coordinators. Assigns, reviews, and approves the work of the accounts payable coordinators.
Responds to vendors' inquiries and researches vendor statements, responding to vendors via phone or email on the status of payment.
Performs administrative functions including month end processing, vendor approvals, and 1099 processing.
Schedules and facilitates meetings with accounts payable staff. Trains and coaches accounts payable staff on job tasks and work performance.
Processes outgoing wire transfers and ACH payments.
Applies an understanding of operational accounting to anticipate and meet the needs of both internal and external customers and vendors.
Identifies opportunities for process improvements including internal controls, forms, procedures, policies, and systems.
Provides support for the client accounting group during the month-end close processes. Manages vendor and payment transition during acquisition integration. Provides information to support requests from external auditors.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Required Licensure, Certification, etc.:
N/A
Work Experience:
Four (4) years or more of related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Five (5) years of previous supervisory experience AND payables experience required
Knowledge:
Knowledge of accounting and understanding of the general ledger accounts and how they relate to invoices
Skills:
Completes all tasks in a timely manner as instructed by the Controller
Cooperates with senior management and coworkers to ensure that services can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of internal and external customers
Treats clients and associates with courtesy, respect and dignity
Interfaces with management and technology support personnel on accounting applications
Identifies current or potential problems with reports, analyzes the impact to financial data, and proposes solutions
SCOPE
Authority to Act:
Performs duties independently with minimal supervision, operating from specific and definite directions and instructions. Decisions are of a routine nature made within prescribed operating guidelines, policies and procedures. Mistakes/errors may result in work stoppage, loss of business, poor customer relations and/or damage to product, all of which can have negative financial implications for the organization.
