Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

The individual will be responsible for unloading trucks by hand and sorting products according to their designated locations within the warehouse. This role involves de-palletizing, breaking down, and separating materials efficiently. Utilizing a pallet jack, the worker will place items in their assigned storage spots. Morning clean-up after loaders is required to maintain a tidy workspace. The worker must check product temperatures to ensure proper storage, particularly for food items, to prevent spoilage. Responsibilities also include moving items in and out of cold storage, palletizing for forklift transport, and possibly shrink-wrapping items. Expiration date labeling is also part of the duties.

Responsibilities

Unload trucks by hand and sort products according to location.

De-palletize, break down, and separate materials.

Utilize pallet jack to place items in designated storage spots.

Perform morning clean-up after loaders.

Check temperatures of products to ensure proper storage.

Move items in and out of cold storage for stocking and pulling.

Palletize for forklift transport and possibly shrink-wrap.

Attach expiration date labels to products.

Essential Skills

Experience in a warehouse environment, particularly with unloading containers.

Motivation, hard work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

Attention to detail and ability to follow verbal instructions.

Capability to move and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with warehouse tasks such as picking, pallet breakdown, plastic wrapping, loading, unloading, heavy lifting, forklift operation, packing, packaging, RF scanning, material handling, order picking, and palletizing.

Work Environment

The work environment includes both dry and freezer areas, similar in setup to a smaller version of Costco. Steel-toed boots are required for safety. The shift for this role is from 11 AM to 8 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brisbane, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
