The Sr. Manager, Delivery Excellence will serve as an operational problem-solver for field teams that identifies and escalates operational improvement opportunities to CI leadership to drive short-term Supply Chain and efficiency objectives. This role will address continuous improvement opportunities within delivery processes with near-term solutions across all US Foods regions. The Sr. Manager, Delivery Excellence must also effectively partner with the Director, Delivery Excellence to identify and divide-and-conquer to own near-term, break-fix field escalations of delivery processes. A successful Sr. Manager, Delivery Excellence must possess strong process expertise, attention to detail, and be an effective communicator to inform CI leadership of tangible operational improvement opportunities confirmed by Supply Chain field stakeholders.
This position requires up to 75% travel to various locations within US Foods footprint. When not traveling the work can be completed from anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operates as the liaison between continuous improvement team and field stakeholders to address field-escalated delivery process issues or area-level delivery process improvement opportunities to deliver tangible, urgent and near-term issue resolutions.
Brings an executional and end-to-end process mindset to drive and align CI projects with field operational targets.
Commits and contributes to a major cultural shift to activate continuous improvement-led business impact.
Operate as an effective action-oriented, analytical problem-solver to alleviate supply chain field issues and escalations in an urgent and timely manner.
Demonstrates strong wherewithal of delivery supply chain processes and field operations, and a desire to self-educate on best-in-class trends.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training:
Bachelor's Degree (Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Operations, or related Business degree) or equivalent experience, required.
Related Experience:
Minimum 7 years of experience in a Supply Chain setting, required.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in driving continuous improvement in a Supply Chain setting or consulting environment.
Strong background in continuous improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Kaizen and associated tools to drive tangible operational improvements, preferred.
Project management training or certifications (e.g., PMI), preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Action Oriented:Demonstrates initiative and urgency to collaborate with field stakeholders to analyze and solve escalated field supply chain issues.
Customer-centric with a bias for action: Demonstrates thought partnership and a value creation mindset with both internal and external customers and possesses a bias for action
Problem Solving Prowess: Possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to coach others on the following topics:
Best in class problem-solving frameworks and tools from methodologies
Data gathering, manipulation, and assessment including application of statistical principles
Problem-solving facets such as hypothesis development, qualitative and quantitative data gathering and use, solution development, and impact analysis.
Process design and improvement principles.
Technology tools such as spreadsheets, common reporting tools, etc.
Project Management: Ability to manage the execution of delivery supply chain improvement opportunities, monitor progress, and deliver with impact.
Catalyst for Change: Strong problem-solver who implements short and long-term solutions and demonstrates impact and in turn show ROI of a continuous improvement mindset and its impact over time.
Delivery Process Expertise: Develop deep expertise in best-in-class delivery distribution processes
Relationships: Develops and maintains field relationships through on-site visits to identify opportunities and drive impact at all U.S. Foods areas and regions

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between
$95,000 - $155,000
