Hours per Pay Period: 1.00 = 80 hours every two weeks (Exempt)
Starting Wage DOE: $63.47 - 79.34
The incumbent in this position is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical services. Work area is inpatient or ambulatory setting.
Essential Job Functions
Lead
-All job functions stated in clinical pharmacist I, II, and specialist
-Schedules staff and coordinates emergency/contingency staffing needs.
-Shall participate in and provide input/feedback into the interviewing, hiring, performance appraisal, coaching/counseling, and/or disciplinary processes for staff.
-Assists with organization and supervision of pharmacy student and PGY1 resident rotations.
-Acts as a liaison for staff to leadership. To ensure supervision and availability to staff, appropriately and consistently staffs in the area they are leading or specializing.
-Contributes to the effective management of the department to provide input into development of pharmacy policies, procedures, short- and long-term goals, and objectives for departmental planning and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements applicable to the department.
-Assists and supports management by providing direction to staff and coordinating the day-to-day operational activities. Acts as a resource to staff responding to procedural questions and assistance with problem resolution
-Orients new staff and provides ongoing mentoring, training, and educational needs for staff. With assistance from pharmacy leadership, develops ongoing competency assessment and identifies areas needing additional education, training, etc.
-Provides assistance, direction, and clinical supervision of the pharmacy technical staff as appropriate for practice area.
Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings Clinic's mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance.
Performs all other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
Department or Level Specific Duties and Responsibilities
-Current position of Clinical Pharmacist I, II, or Clinical Pharmacy Specialist or equivalent experience from another facility.
-Required to complete 2 hours of annual training per year for comprehensive stroke certification requirements, as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
-Minimum Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy with advanced clinical training
-Preferred Graduate Degree PharmD
Experience
-2 years minimum experience deemed by hiring manager of area
Certifications and Licenses
-BPS certification in good standing for Ambulatory Pharmacy role
-Montana Pharmacist
-Montana Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner license designation preferred within 1 year of BPS
