Description

We are looking for an Entry-Level Staff Accountant to join our team in San Francisco, California. This role is ideal for a meticulous individual eager to advance their accounting career in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. As a Contract-to-Permanent position, this opportunity offers growth potential while focusing on accounts payable, vendor management, and financial data accuracy. This position is contract to hire for the right fit and is 100% onsite.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage invoices for multiple properties, including contractor and utility bills, ensuring proper coding and timely payments.

Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors through effective communication and management practices.

Handle high-volume accounts payable operations, processing over 1,200 invoices monthly.

Prepare and execute monthly accounts receivable billing for municipal clients.

Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial data across all accounting processes.

Utilize QuickBooks Desktop to manage financial transactions efficiently.

Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting workflows and resolve discrepancies.

Assist in generating reports and performing data analysis using advanced Microsoft Excel functions such as PivotTables and X-lookup.

Support the team by asking questions and seeking opportunities for growth and development.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

Prior experience in Non-Profit is a major bonus.

At least 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable, with a demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop for financial management is a bonus.

Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

Detail-oriented and eager to learn new processes.

Self-motivated and comfortable asking questions to improve understanding.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
