Description We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to oversee financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies. This contract position is based in Huntington, Indiana, and will play a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide strategic insights and drive financial excellence.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and oversee the distribution of accurate and comprehensive financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, offering actionable insights to support decision-making.

Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and provide recommendations for optimizing financial performance.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial standards, and organizational policies.

Collaborate with the parent company to align financial strategies and reporting practices.

Provide financial insights and guidance to senior leadership to support strategic business goals.

Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations, to ensure accuracy.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.

Support financial planning and analysis (FP& A) activities to drive long-term success. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.

A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management.

Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning and analysis (FP& A).

Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems; experience with ERP systems is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close processes, journal entries, and reconciliations.

Excellent leadership skills with experience leading high-performing teams.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and implement effective solutions.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for reporting and collaboration.
