Accounting Manager
We are looking for candidates with the ability to both execute through the team and also expand and improve on organization's accounting procedures and internal control framework, those who have experience with data analytics, and is a seasoned leader with the ability to inspire teams.
Job Summary
Supporting various aspects of our accounting and reporting process.
Assist in designing local adaptations related to SAP upgrade, data cleansing projects, and other necessary support to transition the team into S4.
End-to-end process ownership to support finance and business partners.
Lead the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate delivery of deadlines.
Understand internal control design concepts to assess the effectiveness of controls and design new effective processes and controls for emerging and growing business activities.
Execute judgment and ensure the right decisions are reached to accurately report financial results.
Drive projects, provide accounting guidance and often serve as first point of contact for finance and business partners to resolve issues.
Dealing in ambiguity with the ability to reprioritize based on multiple business needs.
Prioritization of tasks while providing active coaching to a team of talented individuals.
Ensure the respect of all accounting norms and targeting accounting processes.
Summarize the key accounting items monthly by entities/divisions.
Support with the organization of Audit requests (task assignments, follow up of the correct documentation to auditors).
Supervise the accounts reconciliation for all countries/Entities/divisions.
Ensure continuous improvement of processes and work closely with project management team.

Accounting Analytics
Leverage accounting acumen to work with business leaders and process experts to identify risks and gaps through data analytics.
Design and maintain dashboards to be able to report team KIPs and metrics.
Work with cross-functional groups on the design, development, testing, and maintenance of the Business Intelligence, Data Analytics and Data Science platforms such as SAP, Business Objects, Blackline, Power BI and related analytic data sources.
Work with business and IT stakeholders to establish a strategic Data Management roadmap that enables improvement to accounting processes.
Set standards for technology and business processes and manage to those standards.
Influence agile teams to improve deadlines along with high quality deliverables.
Applies advanced vision to complex and significant technology and business initiatives.
Works with multiple project teams to determine resources (people, equipment, materials) requirements and estimate cost of such resources within a project or program.
Support with transversal tasks across different functions and divisions.
Be accountable for General Ledger KPIs and performance dashboards for the divisions (group of brands); prepare action plans with the team members.
Management tasks
Supervise monthly close process and ensure the respect of closing deadlines.
Participate to closing meetings with divisions.
Ensure continuous improvement and implementation of Group guidelines.
Responsible for leading and motivating a diverse group of staff accountants and senior staff accountants.
GL accounting
Review General Ledger entries according to Group requirements: provision for risks and charges, journal entries for adjustments
Review Balance Sheet, sub ledgers and trial balances for entities in charge of
Prepare summary of variations of provisions

Requirements:
BA / BS degree required, preferably in Accounting
Current CPA license, preferred
Minimum 8 years of experience in General Ledger accounting
5 years of experience as a strong people leader with the ability to manage a large team providing support to a hybrid organization
Strong knowledge of accounting rules, standards, and regulations
Knowledge of accounting processes and internal control principles
Strong communication skills - comfortable in presenting and explaining results to several counterparts (CFOs, Chief accountants, Accounting counterparts in NJ and France, etc.)
SAP experience preferred but not required
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office 365, primarily advanced Excel skills
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative, and fast-paced work environment
Consumer products company background preferred
