Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Laborer to join our team! In this role you will get to work as a laborer, on a full-time basis, to assist with self-perform construction support in various field environments supporting the Parsons/Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) T4 Program Southern Region, based out of Atlanta, GA.

T5 Program Summary: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) awarded the Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) to Parsons in April 2023. Parsons is the prime contractor. This $1.8+ billion contract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. The statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAA's Capital Investment Plan (CIP) and certain reimbursable programs, the FAA NextGen Program, national security programs and aviation safety. Specifically, work includes site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, drafting, contract surveillance, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAA's nine regions as well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey and in several U.S. territories. An average staff of 500 with a peak staff over 650 supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors who perform construction work.

What You'll Be Doing:

Emphasis will be placed on self-perform construction support and elements of FAA equipment used in the National Airspace System (NAS), under the direct supervision of a field superintendent and under the guidance of a Field Operations Manager and working closely with senior level Parsons and FAA engineers and technicians on assigned projects.

Position requires 100 percent travel to FAA sites mainly throughout the Southeast and at times other states and territories.

Will be required to perform hands-on site preparation work that may require hand-digging conduit/cable trenches, minor concrete pad placement, conduit bending, minor demolition, hand hole installations, and grounding/bonding of miscellaneous conduits and enclosures.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

0 plus years of experience in the construction industry.

High school degree or equivalent required.

Construction, safety, and quality training/certifications a plus.

MS Office experience and computer proficiency required.

Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds.

Must be willing to work overtime when required.

Valid driver license and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check required.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Must be able to meet customer security requirements. A background check by Federal Authorities will be performed.
