Senior Mechanical Designer - Innovate in Defense Engineering!

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Senior Mechanical Designer for a high-priority defense program based in Woburn, MA . This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll contribute to the design and development of advanced mechanical systems that meet rigorous performance and reliability standards.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Mechanical Designer , you will:

Design and develop mechanical layouts and detailed drawings for integrated microwave assemblies and electronic sub-systems.

Apply expertise in electronics packaging to ensure optimal thermal, structural, and manufacturability performance.

Collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to translate concepts into manufacturable designs.

Incorporate complex engineering change orders (ECOs) into existing designs.

Serve as a liaison between Responsible Engineers and Mechanical Engineers for design layout coordination.

Recommend component hardware selections and prepare parts lists.

Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.

Manage CAD model and drawing creation, revision, and release using Pro/INTRALINK.

Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.

Minimum 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical design.

Proficiency in CREO 4 or higher.

Demonstrated experience in electronics packaging.

U.S. Citizenship (no dual citizenship) due to export control regulations.

Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree in a technical field.

5+ years of experience in electro-mechanical design.

Active U.S. Security Clearance.

Highly team-oriented and collaborative.

This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Pay Details: $45.00 per hour
