Job Description
Turner & Townsend is seeking a Construction Standards Program Manager to support our client's Workplace Design team in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of design and construction standards. This role will be embedded onsite with a leading global technology client and will work closely with the Standards Manager and cross-functional teams to conduct research, develop sub-programs, and evolve workplace design guidelines.
This is a full-time, client-facing position based in Cupertino, CA, requiring onsite presence three days per week (Tuesday through Thursday). The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in standards development, construction, or workplace design. They should be highly organized, research-driven, and confident presenting findings and recommendations using Keynote.
Responsibilities:
Execute standards-related projects as directed by the client's Standards Manager.
Conduct market analysis on materials (e.g., wood flooring) and evaluate life cycle costs; present findings in Keynote.
Research and recommend new appliances and fixtures that align with client requirements, based on user feedback and performance of existing products.
Collaborate with the Change Management Specialist and cross-functional teams (e.g., construction, facilities) to update relevant sections of workplace standards and guidelines.
Support the development of new sub-programs such as a Feedback and Lessons Learned program, including associated processes and documentation.
Create and maintain high-quality Keynote presentations and program materials to communicate findings and recommendations.
Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of workplace design standards.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with evolving design and construction practices.
Track and document feedback from project teams to inform future updates to standards and guidelines.
Assist in the development of training materials and onboarding content related to standards implementation.
Apply change management methodologies to support the adoption and integration of updated standards.
Leverage content management systems (e.g., intranet sites, knowledge bases) to maintain and distribute standards documentation.
SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable
Qualifications
Ability to work onsite in Cupertino, CA three days per week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in standards development, project/program management, or workplace design.
Strong understanding of architectural, design, and construction project management principles.
Experience with change management methodologies and process improvement.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
Proficiency in Keynote and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with Revit or other BIM software is a plus.
Technical aptitude and experience working with internal content management systems.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Collaborative mindset with experience working across cross-functional teams.
Additional Information
The salary range for this full-time role is $140K-$170K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. ?Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate's experience and qualifications.
