Henley Enterprises, Inc. (and our associated entities) is a privately-owned Franchisee of Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) currently operating 265 VIOC locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, Florida, and California. The company has grown rapidly, nearly tripling in size over the last five years, and is projecting continued growth moving forward. This hybrid position works at least 2 days from the Newton, MA Corporate Office, and reports to the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing & Sales.
The Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the growth, reputation, and success of Valvoline Instant Oil Change. This position is responsible for driving brand strategy, customer acquisition, and revenue growth through innovative and results-driven marketing initiatives. As a key leader within the organization, you will influence how our brand connects with customers, engages communities, and positions itself as the trusted choice for vehicle maintenance services.
This role collaborates closely with Operations, Human Resources, Legal, Accounting, and Development, relying on strong cross-departmental relationships to ensure seamless execution of initiatives. The Marketing Manager also oversees budgets, manages external agency partnerships, and serves as a primary liaison with the franchisor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Serve as the strategic marketing lead, partnering with vendors, the franchisor, and internal teams to drive customer acquisition, increase oil change volume, and grow revenue.
Evaluate and optimize existing marketing campaigns, identify gaps, and implement innovative solutions to strengthen overall performance.
Act as the primary marketing liaison, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, franchisor, and external vendors.
Implement and manage both local and national marketing initiatives while ensuring consistency with brand standards and messaging.
Lead digital marketing strategy, including SEO and SEM optimization, to accelerate customer acquisition and recruitment effectiveness.
Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring disciplined management of resources and delivering a strong return on investment.
Lead end-to-end execution of marketing programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives while fostering collaboration and accountability across departments.
Leverage consumer insights, competitive intelligence, and market research to shape forward-thinking strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
Develop and maintain advanced analytics reporting to track performance, extract insights, and inform data-driven decision-making.
Champion community engagement by planning and executing local marketing events that enhance brand visibility and loyalty.
Partner with operations leadership to design impactful merchandising and in-store promotional programs that influence customer behavior.
Direct the development of creative assets, oversee media planning/purchasing, and ensure flawless execution of advertising campaigns.
Drive recruitment marketing initiatives to attract and retain top talent, positioning Valvoline Instant Oil Change as an employer of choice.
Manage and negotiate vendor contracts to secure favorable terms and maximize value.
Design, negotiate, and manage high-impact digital campaigns across search, display, and social platforms.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related business field
5-7 years' experience in both marketing and digital
Working knowledge/experience in the service industry
ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
25% of work performed in the field, which may include a service center environment and remote locations, as determined by the manager
75% of work in a climate-controlled internal office environment, working under normal office conditions
