The Director, Supply Chain Procurement MedTech Surgery (WCH & A&R) will be accountable to oversee the external spend in support of the MedTech Surgery Business Unit for Wound Closure Healing and Aesthetic & Reconstruction platforms, $4.5+ billion NTS with projected strong growth and premier market positions. The spend in support of this business resides in multiple categories and sums up to more than $400MM+ annually.
Key Role Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing and implementing global sourcing and procurement strategies for $400MM+ direct material spend. Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure alignment with sourcing & procurement initiatives.
Drive engagement with strategic suppliers to deliver solutions for the WCH & A&R platforms.
Own Source P&L and related financial commitments (cost actions, inflation and investments). Deliver Source business plan and the related long range financial plans for WCH & A&R platforms.
Own the overall category and supplier management strategic objectives for the spend in scope under the Precision Plastics category and work in close collaboration with other Business Unit Procurement Leaders and MedTech Center Procurement Leaders for the spend scope shared across BUs.
Lead multi-year value creation roadmap and related COGS savings program. Deliver spend efficiency & productivity (COGS & OPEX) through demonstrating scale, partnerships, and value engineering.
Ensure reliability of supply and orchestrate critical supplier issues in partnership with E2E Supply Chain, Plan, Quality, R&D and TechOps functions.
Advance Supply Chain Procurement capabilities in supplier risk management.
Partner closely with Business Development and R&D functions, leading new product introduction (NPI) and fostering suppliers enabled innovation and R&D upstream engagement.
Manage the relationship between Procurement and various Business collaborators and represent Procurement within E2E Supply Chain & R&D leadership teams.
Demonstrate ability to negotiate critical matters and influence.
Partner as pro-active member of the E2E Supply Chain LT and SC Procurement LT. Being an active citizen in the Surgery Supply Chain community as well as in the Procurement function.
Develop high performing procurement organization, driving a culture of value creation, collaboration, and inclusion. Advocate & deploy procedures, new capabilities in process, systems and digital analytics.
The position holder will manage a direct team of 3 and an indirect team of 6 employees and would have following key internal and external relationships:

Qualifications:

Masters or relevant post graduate degree preferred
Experience to work across regions and understand markets in particular in Asia is preferred
Experience and key competencies:
Experienced professional with business experience in multiple roles across a variety of functional specialties including general management, R&D, Marketing, Supply Chain or a Technical field with at least 10+ years within a Procurement environment in a senior position.
Good level of understanding of the Procurement processes and experience in engaging internal collaborators and leadership teams.
Broad-based understanding of business operations and practices and core Procurement areas of focus (e.g. Category Management, Supplier Management, Supply Chain Integration, Business planning, Performance Management).
Strong Customer Orientation (building and maintaining strong relationships with JNJ senior Management).
Strong leadership, vision/strategy setting, communication, influencing, collaboration, talent development skills are key
Strong project and change management capabilities
Strong verbal and written communication skill with ability to confidently present complex information
Ability to continuously improve the organization
Strong Business Sense, Medical Device and specifically Surgery relevant industry experience preferred
Multi-country and Multi sector experience preferred.
High level of proficiency with core Procurement skills (e.g., supplier management and performance, supply market analysis, Category Management, Contract development, Procurement Excellence, etc.)
High level of credibility with internal customers, and with the supplier community
Strong influencing skills with ability to see issues from multiple viewpoints and understand differing needs of collaborators (e.g., businesses, Procurement LT, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain); has "presence"
Proven track record in attracting and developing talent
Proven track record in leading cross-functional teams and completing significant influencing roles.
Significant discernment and proven team building skills
Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to respond to changes in the external environment, while ensuring the organization is able to effectively and efficiently move through transitions

The anticipated base pay for this position is $146,000 to $221,518.50
This position may require up to 30% domestic travel based on business needs and suppliers location.
This position is not Eligible for Relocation benefits
