Job Title: Supply Chain Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations by leveraging advanced technical expertise. This position requires strong experience in supply chain management, contract negotiation, and various technical skills related to procurement.

Responsibilities

Manage supply chain processes to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms.

Utilize ERP for inventory management, procurement processes, and reporting.

Oversee category management to optimize product selection and supplier performance.

Procure materials efficiently while maintaining accurate records within the MRP system.

Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance and performance monitoring.

Essential Skills

Strong understanding of supply chain management principles.

Excellent contract negotiation skills with a proven track record.

Knowledge of category management practices to enhance product offerings.

Skilled in procurement processes, ensuring cost-effective sourcing of materials.

Competence in managing MRP systems for effective inventory control.

Strong contract management capabilities, ensuring adherence to agreements and performance metrics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Aluminum experience is nice to have as this is their top material.

Data analytics experience is very helpful.

Proficient in root cause analysis techniques for problem-solving.

Work Environment

You will be leading a team that includes 2 planners and 1 buyer, with potential future responsibilities in managing logistics, inventory, shipping, and receiving. This role offers the opportunity to build a department within a growing company.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Putnam, Connecticut

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $59.00/hr.
