Job Title: Supply Chain Planner

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Supply Chain Planner to manage the assembly planning responsibilities for designated assembly lines. The ideal candidate will ensure material availability to support assembly schedules and maintain alignment with internal and external customers. This role requires collaboration with the Assembly Operations Team to ensure schedule adherence and involves cross-functional work with departments such as Production Planning, Supply Chain, Material Handling, Assembly, Manufacturing, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

Manage the assembly planning responsibilities for designated assembly lines.

Support assembly lines by ensuring material availability to support the assembly schedule.

Align with internal and external customers to ensure smooth operations.

Collaborate with the Assembly Operations Team to ensure schedule alignment and adherence.

Work cross-functionally with Production Planning, Supply Chain, Material Handling, Assembly, Manufacturing, and Engineering departments.

Monitor the production plan and make necessary adjustments.

Create and release production orders to assembly lines and provide necessary documents.

Support a specified assembly schedule determined by a monthly SIOP process.

Communicate any potential build issues or delays with Production Planning.

Escalate customer and sales requests that fall outside the agreed SIOP parameters.

Balance all demand inputs to drive efficiency through assembly for the customer.

Learn and perform reporting functions.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, logistics, engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Thorough knowledge of production, supply chain, inventory, and planning principles and practices.

Experience with sales order to revenue realization process and integrated enterprise resource management systems.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ERP/MRP systems, SAP preferred.

Strong MRP knowledge and Production Planning and/or Material Control.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Lean manufacturing and project management practices.

Understanding of influences on costs, gross margin, quality, and delivery.

Good understanding of Production/Assembly/Materials Control/Marketing/Customer Service, and Engineering interfaces.

Knowledge of purchase orders, production orders, and sales orders.

Knowledge of S&OP and basic financial impacts.

Work Environment

This role operates within a dynamic manufacturing environment, requiring collaboration across multiple departments and utilization of various technologies. The position demands a strong understanding of production planning and material control, with a focus on ensuring efficient assembly operations. The use of ERP systems such as SAP is integral, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential for success in this role.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
