Warehouse Supervisor
PeopleReady of Turlock, CA is now hiring Warehouse Supervisors! Overview PeopleReady, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead day-to-day operations across a fast-moving warehouse and light production environment. The ideal candidate is a responsible and fair leader who can "own the floor," guide temp and full-time staff, maintain impeccable organization, and keep orders flowing-from pick/pack to delivery drop-offs. This role blends supervision, logistics, light fabrication, customer support, and facilities upkeep.
Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $25 - $25 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Warehouse Supervisor:
Lead, train, and oversee warehouse staff and temporary workers; assign tasks and track progress
Maintain a task tracking log and enforce best practices, safety, and quality standards
Serve as production crew leader; coordinate with shop management and sales when needed
Provide leadership with strong coaching, problem-solving, and follow-through
Order Fulfillment and Inventory:
Pick-and-pull orders, restock, and stage will-call
Create and adjust fulfillment schedules; escalate issues proactively
Prepare QC reports for will-call; inspect for damage (e.g., knots in drape, ribbon damage) and coordinate refurbishing
Approve substitutions of equal or greater value when necessary
Send swatches to clients and ensure proper labeling and packaging on all contents
Write up orders and quotes as needed; handle 911/urgent orders professionally and efficiently
Shipping, Receiving, and Logistics:
Log into Goodshuffle (or similar order platform), print documents, and maintain accurate records
Generate UPS labels; box and prepare shipments; coordinate UPS Store pickups and outbound shipping
Manage Uline and other supply orders; maintain stock of all necessary shop supplies (e.g., Walmart, Home Depot)
Drive warehouse vehicles and box trucks; hook up vans to trailers, tie down loads, and transfer contents between warehouses
Weigh vehicles at scales when required; maintain vehicle readiness and basic maintenance
Fabrication, Hardware, and Facilities:
Cut fabric and refurbish goods and hardware as needed
Know materials and hardware "inside and out," including sizes the company produces
Set pallet rack shelves; reorganize boxes and storage for optimal flow
Keep branding consistent on merchandise
Maintain cleanliness and safety: vacuum floors, remove cobwebs, and keep tools/supplies organized
Customer and Partner Support:
Provide professional PR/customer service: answer phones, respond to emails, and support client requests
Coordinate delivery drop-offs and partner handoffs (e.g., take orders to partner locations)
Prepare and complete damage reports and follow up on resolutions
Available shifts:
Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day), 2nd Shift (Evening) & Weekends
Job requirements:
Strong work ethic
1+ years in warehouse, logistics, or shop-floor supervision (including oversight of temps or contingent staff)
Proven experience with order fulfillment systems (Goodshuffle or similar), labeling, and documentation
Forklift operation experience; certification preferred (or ability to obtain promptly)
Valid driver's license; comfortable driving box trucks, towing trailers, and securing loads
Mechanically inclined with hands-on problem-solving skills; able to refurbish goods/hardware
Strong computer literacy for order platforms, labeling, and email communication
Excellent organization, time management, and task tracking

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly
Comfortable on warehouse floors (standing, bending, reaching) throughout the shift
Safe operation of forklifts, pallet racking setup, and trailer hook-up
Nice to Have:
Experience with fabric cutting, drape handling, and material-specific QC
Experience generating shipping labels (UPS) and coordinating store drop-offs/pickups
Experience with refurbishment of soft goods and hardware
Schedule and Compensation:
24 to 40 hours Per Week, on-site
Occasional early starts, evenings, or weekends to meet deadlines
Compensation starts at $25 Per Hour, Paid Weekly
