What's a typical day as Production Supervisor? You'll be:
Coaching safety, quality, and productivity to ensure objectives are met through standardized work processes
Monitoring Andon occurrences and acting as the first responder for support
Utilizing process confirmation to verify safe, smooth operations and production of quality parts
Supporting continuous improvement and coaching problem resolution at the lowest level
Facilitating team communication and recognition, while building Team Leader and Team Member capabilities
Creating a positive work environment for teams to complete assigned tasks efficiently
Handling basic administrative supervisory responsibilities and documentation
Overseeing daily material handling functions, ensuring proper flow from dock to warehouse to production line and finished product delivery
Providing direction and support for resource allocation in material handling
Supporting Ford Production System and lean manufacturing practices
Leading and managing unionized hourly personnel
Ensuring flawless introduction of new parts to production through proactive planning and cross-functional communication
Effectively implementing the Engineering Change Process
Identifying and correcting data gaps in CMMS and production counts
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
Have prior supervisor experience, ideally in manufacturing or production environments
Can demonstrate safety experience and a strong commitment to workplace safety
Hold Six Sigma Black or Green Belt certification
Possess knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices
Have experience managing a unionized workforce
Are highly organized, able to multitask, and work independently
Hold a High School Diploma or GED (required)
Are able to pass a background verification
