Our recruiting firm is partnering with a growing small business to hire an Accounting Manager who will oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support leadership with accurate financial insights. This is a hands-on Accounting Manager role ideal for someone who enjoys the variety and impact that comes with working in a smaller business environment.

About the Accounting Manager Role:

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and providing timely reporting to support decision-making. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can balance daily tasks with bigger-picture financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily accounting operations including A/P, A/R, payroll, and general ledger

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Manage cash flow and support budgeting/forecasting processes

Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax requirements

Partner with leadership to analyze financial performance and recommend improvements

Supervise and support accounting staff (if applicable)

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance preferred but NOT REQUIRED

3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience

Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles

Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel

Experience in a small business environment preferred-must be comfortable with a hands-on role

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
