Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Oxnard, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in managing vendor invoices, ensuring accurate payments, and maintaining compliance with company policies. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organizational and communication skills to contribute to a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

Accurately process and code approximately 50 vendor invoices weekly using NetSuite and company systems.

Communicate with vendors to address discrepancies, respond to payment inquiries, and build strong relationships.

Monitor and manage recurring vendor payments to ensure timely and accurate disbursements.

Facilitate the invoice approval process by obtaining necessary authorizations prior to payment release.

Perform basic general ledger tasks, including debit and credit entries and account reconciliations.

Maintain organized records of invoices, approvals, and payments to ensure readiness for audits.

Utilize spreadsheets to track vendor activity, recurring charges, and payment schedules. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.

Proficiency in processing and coding invoices with accuracy and attention to detail.

Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting software.

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with vendors and resolve issues.

Ability to perform basic general ledger tasks and reconcile accounts.

Excellent organizational skills for managing records and tracking payment schedules.

Experience using spreadsheets for monitoring vendor activity and payment timelines.
