Description

We are looking for a motivated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a thriving international construction company while advancing your career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As an integral part of the accounting team, you will handle essential tasks such as processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with company policies. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Perform administrative and clerical duties to support the Accounts Payable and Finance Department.

Accurately execute daily accounting processes and controls while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.

Deliver excellent customer service to internal teams and business partners.

Provide support for both internal and external audits as needed.

Open, sort, and distribute departmental mail efficiently.

Organize, log, photocopy, and file invoices, checks, and other financial documents.

Verify, log, and mail checks, including managing expedited requests.

Assist with special projects and additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong familiarity with accounting software.

Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and financial teams.

Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and efficiency while handling multiple tasks.

Experience with invoice processing, coding, and check handling is highly desirable.
