An established accounting and tax firm in Nassau County is seeking an Entry-Level Tax Accountant to join their dynamic team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with 2-3 years of accounting experience to take the next step in their career. The role will begin as a temporary position, with strong potential for permanent hire based on performance.

Position Overview: As an Entry-Level Tax Accountant, you will play a key role in providing accounting and tax services for the firm's diverse client base. You'll gain valuable hands-on experience and mentorship while working within a supportive team environment dedicated to fostering career growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review individual and small business tax returns.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger records.

Conduct basic tax research and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Communicate with clients regarding their tax-related inquiries and documentation.

Collaborate with senior accountants to support team goals and meet project deadlines.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Recent graduates are encouraged to apply; 2-3 years of relevant experience is a plus.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Eagerness to learn and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
