Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description

We are searching for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and is eager to bring their skills to our business. You'll be responsible for overseeing incoming payments, working closely with customers to ensure timely collections, and collaborating cross-departmentally with purchasing and administrative teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collection of payments and maintaining accurate customer accounts.

Reconcile accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve disputes to maintain positive client relationships.

Utilize Microsoft Excel, including advanced features such as pivot tables, to perform data analysis and generate reports that will help streamline financial processes.

Enter and maintain accurate data in StaffPro and other accounting systems.

Cross-train to support purchasing functions, gaining insight into the ordering process to better support our customers.

Work closely with departments that utilize ServPro systems to align invoicing and receivables with broader operational goals.

Perform accurate and timely data entry, ensuring all information adheres to company standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in an Accounts Receivable or related finance role.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating and analyzing pivot tables. Advanced Excel skills are highly desirable.

Experience or familiarity with StaffPro, ServPro, or similar ERP/accounting systems (preferred but not required).

Knowledge of purchasing processes or willingness to learn to support cross-functional responsibilities.

High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.

Strong communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams effectively.

Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements - A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles.

Proficiency in accounts receivable systems and processes.

Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail.

Solid understanding of purchasing functions and procurement processes.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.

Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Familiarity with financial reporting tools and practices.
