Robert Half Finance & Accounting and Kevin Sweet have partnering with a well-established manufacturing company seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead accounting operations at their regional office. This is a high-impact role responsible for financial reporting, month-end close, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP, a proven track record in a manufacturing environment, and experience working within SAP.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and cost accounting

Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting

Prepare and review internal financial statements and management reports

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis

Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX (if applicable), and corporate policies

Support internal and external audits, including documentation and process improvements

Mentor and supervise a small accounting team at the regional level

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's a plus)

CPA strongly preferred

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role

Manufacturing industry experience required

SAP experience strongly preferred

Excellent knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's a plus)

CPA strongly preferred

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role

Manufacturing industry experience required

SAP experience strongly preferred

Excellent knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
