Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Cerritos, California. This position offers a long-term contract opportunity for a highly organized individual with strong financial reporting and analysis skills. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial statements, managing general ledger activities, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies between actual results and budgeted forecasts.

Develop supporting schedules and provide insights to assist with management reporting.

Ensure financial reporting aligns with applicable accounting standards and organizational policies.

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure account accuracy and completeness.

Post recurring and adjusting journal entries, including accruals and prepaid expenses.

Support month-end and year-end closing processes to meet reporting deadlines.

Process vendor invoices and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Assist with customer billing and collections while monitoring accounts for overdue balances.

Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting by gathering financial data and preparing revenue and expense projections. Requirements - Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting.

Strong knowledge of general ledger maintenance and reconciliation.

Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries, including accruals and adjustments.

Experience in account reconciliation and bank reconciliations.

Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable processes.

Advanced analytical skills for budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Strong communication skills to effectively present financial insights and collaborate with teams.
