Description We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Rock Hill, South Carolina. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to play a crucial role in managing financial operations and ensuring accurate reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, coupled with excellent organizational and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the financial close process.

Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Manage commission calculations and payments for sales representatives.

Perform and ensure completion of periodic bank reconciliations.

Monitor debt levels and ensure compliance with debt covenants, while managing timely debt payments.

Coordinate audit processes by providing necessary information to external auditors.

Handle compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

Supervise and guide employees within the accounting department to ensure optimal performance.

Manage financials for multiple commercial properties and retail internet business.

Perform additional duties as needed to support company goals and ensure project success. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

At least 8 years of experience in accounting roles, demonstrating strong analytical and financial skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Proven leadership and management experience, with the ability to supervise teams effectively.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in articulating ideas.

Self-motivated and capable of managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Familiarity with ERP systems such as Epicor is preferred.
