Role Definition
Leads the organization's accounting activities, including financial record keeping and reporting.
Responsibilities
Maintaining records of organization's financial activity in accordance with GAAP, organizational standards, and in compliance with Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Creating reports on financial performance for internal and external use.
Completing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including but not limited to: related to foreign exchange, cash management and tax, including preparing the appropriate audit work papers for such activities.
Supporting and assisting junior accounting staff in the development of their professional skills

Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports.

Expert-Level Application of US GAAP Applies comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP to ensure integrity in financial reporting. Acts as a resource for applying standards and mentoring others on practical implementation.
Financial Statement Analysis & Interpretation Conducts in-depth analysis of financial statements to uncover trends, assess performance drivers, and inform executive decision-making. Translates complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership and board-level reporting.

Strategic Consolidations Leadership Oversees complex multi-entity consolidations with precision, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with corporate reporting standards. Provides strategic insight to account for complex transactions including inter-company eliminations, and foreign currency translations.
Additional information:
This position requires the successful candidate to work full time, 5 days per week in the Nashville main office.

Summary Pay Range:
$116,532.00 - $216,384.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
