Job Opening: Billing Clerk / Administrative Assistant

Location: Sioux City, IA

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Clerk / Administrative Assistant to join our Service Department. This role is essential in bridging communication between our office and field operations, ensuring accurate billing, job costing, and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities:

Billing & Invoicing

Calculate and send invoices for service work orders and production jobs.

Enter billing data into Timberline, Quantum, and Taulia (Tyson Foods).

Set up new customers in billing systems as needed.

Accounts Receivable

Set up and maintain customer accounts.

Prepare deposits and input customer checks into Timberline.

Run aging reports and follow up on past due invoices.

Communicate status updates to management.

Accounts Payable

Set up and maintain vendor accounts.

Process incoming mail and invoices.

Enter payables weekly and manage check approvals and mailing.

Upload paid invoices into LaserFiche.

Job Costing

Assign job numbers and maintain job accounts.

Update tracking logs and job cost summaries.

Create and manage job folders.

Ensure proper documentation and follow-up on missing paperwork.

Payroll Support

Assist with new hire onboarding, including physicals, drug screens, and E-Verify.

Collect and calculate timecards using foreman logs, Hornet, and Job Clock PDA.

Coordinate with corporate office for payroll processing.

Qualifications:

Strong computer skills and proficiency in billing software (Timberline, Quantum, Taulia).

Prior experience in billing, invoicing, and administrative support.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Construction industry experience is a major plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job

classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
