Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Job Description

Join a dynamic team in a small, fast-growing food manufacturing company with approximately 100 million in revenue. As an Accounting Assistant, you will play a critical role in managing accounts payable and receivable operations, contributing significantly to the financial health and growth of the company.

Responsibilities

Manage and process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), with a primary focus on AR.

Handle heavy invoicing tasks efficiently.

Assist in month-end closing processes, including reconciliation and journal entries.

Support the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and financial reports.

Conduct cost accounting tasks to ensure accurate financial data.

Work closely with the CFO to support various accounting functions.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in accounting principles, including general ledger management and reconciliation.

Experience with month-end processes and financial reporting.

Strong skills in managing accounts payable and receivable.

Ability to handle heavy invoicing workloads.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft D365 is a plus.

Experience in manufacturing or entry-level accounting is beneficial.

Familiarity with accounts receivable processes is advantageous.

Work Environment

Work from the corporate headquarters, directly reporting to the CFO. The company boasts a collaborative and innovative environment with proprietary software, requiring no additional software knowledge. However, proficiency in Excel is essential. The role is urgent and can accommodate an interim or consultant with the potential for contract-to-hire or direct hire.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Manteno, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
