Koniag Information Technology Services (KITS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an Action Officer I to support our Army customer in Huntsville, Alabama. This position requires on-site presence in Huntsville, Alabama.

The Action Officer I will be responsible for supporting the coordination and tracking of key activities to ensure alignment with Army priorities and efficient operations within the DCS G-2/6(CIO) directorate. This on-site role will focus on providing operational support for planning, execution, and tracking of Army Materiel Command's (AMC) critical activities within the DCS G-2/6(CIO) directorate. The ideal candidate will have experience with Army staff operations, task management, and policy analysis.
Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Provide support for planning, execution, and tracking of AMC's critical activities
Review and analyze Army orders (WARNORDs, EXORDs, OPORDs, FRAGOs)
Assist in translating orders into actionable staff tasks
Identify relevant equities across Intelligence, Security, C4, IT/IM, and Cyber Defense
Support task capture, tracking, and reporting using appropriate tools
Assist in coordinating order dissemination throughout the organization
Support maintaining 95% accuracy in identifying mission area equities within 24 hours
Help ensure staffing and publication of 95% of orders within established timelines
Utilize the Army's Task Management Tool (TMT), Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat Professional
Support task management throughout the complete lifecycle
Assist in maintaining 95% accuracy of task status in TMT with weekly updates
Support the planning and execution of internal and external battle rhythm events
Help maintain the DCS G-2/6(CIO) Integrated Operations Calendar (IOC)
Assist with event logistics coordination including scheduling and facilities
Identify scheduling conflicts and report them to appropriate personnel
Support maintaining 90% IOC accuracy (verified monthly)
Assist in coordinating at least 95% of scheduled events
Support policy analysis related to Intelligence, Security, C4, IT/IM, and Cyber Defense
Review DOD, HQDA, and Command policies for potential impacts
Assist in developing and maintaining strategic planning documents
Support the Annual Operating Cycle (AOC) development and maintenance
Contribute to Planning Analysis and Recommendations for decision forums
Assist with Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) and Business Case Analysis (BCA)
Support delivery of requested analysis within established timeframes
Contribute to the development of the five-year strategy and annual plan
Education and Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
1-3 years of experience in military staff support, operations coordination, or related role
Familiarity with military orders and task management processes
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications
Basic understanding of military staff operations
Required Skills and Competencies:

Familiarity with Army orders and directives
Basic knowledge of Army's Task Management Tool (TMT)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with Adobe Acrobat Professional

Organizational skills for document management and event support

Good written and verbal communication skills

Basic understanding of military planning processes

Experience providing administrative support in professional settings

Basic knowledge of DOD and Army organizational structure

Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances
