Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Lead ensures that all inspection support: compare measurements, form, fit, function, and value judgments of simple and complex parts to drawings/specifications and general workmanship standards using documents, experience, and knowledge of inspection techniques of SG Performance Life Sciences are being met on their assigned shift. They are responsible for ensuring Good Documentation Practices are utilized throughout all quality records that are reviewed/completed/inspected/audited. Responsible for work order review and batch order closure. They are considered a SME in inspection and ensure that all training on their assigned team are met. This individual will be responsible for the initiation of NMR's, communicating NMR resolutions, and shift prioritization.
Essential Functions:
Compare purchased, first piece, in process, and finished goods to established drawings/specifications/workmanship standards; reports non-conformances to Coordinator/Supervisor/Manager.
Help to investigate scope of the nonconformance and forward details to Coordinator/Supervisor/Manager for disposition.
Assist in orientation of new technicians and inspection processes, as necessary.
Review and Manage (move tickets) inventory and search for discrepancies that may negatively affect the quality of products.
Perform environmental monitoring activities as required by policy.
Releases and certifies approved/inspected product
Assists in Training Quality Inspector I's
Lead and/or Assist in ensuring proper completion of Environmental Monitoring activities.
Assist in the inspection, investigation, disposition of Nonconforming Material Reports (NMR); forward to NMR coordinator and/or Quality Manager for final disposition.
Participates in Continuous Improvement/WCM projects.
Participate in the construction and/or revision of SOPs.
Initiate the NMRs Daily in ETQ and add in the Log.
Will be responsible to create IMT once NMR is dispositioned.
Will be a liaison between the NMR disposition Via Email and the production operators to make them aware of the dispositions.
Ensure proper Document flow of Work Order Packets within the 3 focus factories.
Assign Quality Inspectors to areas for each shift to ensure coverage and prioritization needs are met.

Required Qualifications:
? Previous experience as a Quality Inspector at Saint-Gobain
? Ability to follow/interpret verbal, written, oral, diagram and/or schedule form instructions
? Ability to read reports and generate reports on productivity and efficiency
? Ability to be highly attentive to detail and consistency
? Physical Demands: Requires walking, primarily on a level surface throughout the day. May need to climb stairs/steps periodically. May need to reach above shoulder heights and below the waist. Lifting as required with proper lifting techniques up to 40 pounds on occasion. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.
Working Conditions:
This position is in a clean room and office environment where the use of personal protective equipment such as hearing protection, safety glasses, and safety shoes are mandated. Noise levels and temperatures may vary due to areas accessed. There is some exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals such as alcohol.

Maintain proper level of supplies (office and inspection) to prevent depletion. This includes reordering tasks.
Carry out formulated plans, policies and procedures of the department per regulations.
Communicate with employee's any instructions or requirements as deemed necessary by the Quality Manager.
Must be available for shift work, when necessary.
Be willing to participate in training that may be conducted off-site.
Report safety hazards observed to EHS Coordinator.
Perform stock audits and other related duties as may be required and regularly perform 5S activities which involves the cleanliness, organization, and standardization of work area.
