Job Title: Medical biller Location: Hopkinsville, KY 42240 Duration: 12+ months Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM Pay Rate: $21.50/hr. without benefits Job Description:- Obtains, reviews, and evaluates financial reimbursement information for patient medical services.- Conduct interviews and obtain information from the patient, the patient's family, and/or the Client concerning responsibility for patient care. Complete new admission paperwork.- Establish the ability and authority of the responsible party for payment of patient services rendered, including precertification for patients with insurance. Perform follow-up interviews and contacts as needed.- Maintain, run reports to review and evaluate patient accounts, including posting charges, submitting insurance claims, working denied claims, and posting payments into Meditech electronic medical records.Required Qualification:- High school graduate or GED.- One year of experience in Medicaid/Managed Care insurance/third-party billing procedures.- Experience using an electronic medical records system.- Must be able to navigate stairs frequently throughout the workday as part of the essential job functions.About our Company: - 22nd Century Technologies, Inc., is one of the fastest growing IT Service Integrator and Workforce Solution companies in the United States.
