Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB) provides financial services to consumer banking, consumer lending, and small business customers through over 4,300 retail bank branches and more than 11,000 ATMs in 36 states and the District of Columbia, as well as through 20 customer service centers. CSBB is focused on continuously improving our customer satisfaction, by simplifying our products, pricing and processes and targeted innovation at scale.
The Role
We are seeking a strategic and operationally minded leader to join our Small & Business Banking organization, to lead critical Sales Planning functions. This role will oversee Sales Execution Risk, Coverage Model Design & Execution, the banker compensation plan, and the optimization of the end-to-end sales process. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and guiding a high-performing team that drives process innovation, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation across all customer engagement channels-digital, phone, and in-person.
In this role, you will:
Coverage Model & Staffing: Oversee the design, implementation, and execution of processes related to coverage model, banker staffing, and placement of bankers.
Sales Support: oversee and lead our centralized support team designed to support key activities in support of our banker.
Sales Process Optimization: Map and continuously improve the end-to-end sales process from lead generation to post-sale handoff across all channels. Define key sales stages and criteria, identify bottlenecks, and streamline workflows to enhance employee capacity and customer experience.
Compensation & Incentives: Partner with HR team to design sales compensation and incentive plans and monitor the adoption and efficacy of incentive programs based on performance data
Risk & Compliance Oversight: Provide oversight of risk activities including issues management, controls execution, risk program management, and audit/testing engagement.
Banker Productivity Program: Develop and maintain an "always on" banker productivity plan across all roles, segments, and geographies, that tracks to and with performance feedback loop, enablement, initiatives, and outcome to get peak performance on bankers by tenure.
The Candidate
This leader must be an exceptional leader and will be recognized for accomplishments related to hiring, retaining, and developing a world-class staff. Successful candidates will be articulate, poised, proactive and possess a demonstrated leadership capability with strong interpersonal effectiveness. They must have strong understanding of business drivers and processes and be an effective influencer that has credibility with business leaders and able to offer credible challenge as needed. Leadership, relationship management, and credibility will be determining factors in selection.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, including Management or leadership experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of management or leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
Deep understanding of Small and/or Business Banking and Lending
Experience leading a team focused on business segment strategy, profitability and revenue generating opportunities
8+ years of experience in sales operations, business execution, or related fields, with at least 4+ years in a leadership role
Proven experience leading large, cross-functional teams and driving enterprise-level process improvements
Strong understanding of CRM systems, sales enablement tools, and data-driven decision-making
Demonstrated ability to design and implement sales compensation and incentive programs
Experience managing risk and compliance programs in a sales or financial services environment
Experience with building and develop a high-performing team culture focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$250,000.00 - $420,000.00
