As a Security Officer - Retail Patrols in Gaston, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment at a dynamic retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to visitors and staff. You will be expected to respond promptly to incidents, communicate clearly with team members, and utilize technology such as computers or tablets as needed. What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
Support the enforcement of site rules and regulations to maintain a welcoming environment for customers and staff.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when necessary.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site management.

Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet; prior experience is preferred.
Prior loss prevention experience is preferred.
Prior alarm panel experience is preferred.
A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions only.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
