Job Description
Key Accountabilities
-Interface with engineering staff, operations & maintenance groups, and other Vistra personnel to ensure consistent, practical, and effective engineering solutions.
-EIT (Engineer in Training) Program. Incumbents will rotate through the different areas of the plant to gain a working knowledge of those areas of the plant. Areas include, but are not limited to Safety, Operations, Maintenance, Instrumentation & Control, Reliability and Chemical / Environmental
-Will be assigned various engineering projects.
-Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
-Possess the ability to work independently and in a fast paced environment
All other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
-Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Students sponsored through Optical Practical Training (OPT) or Curricular Practical Training (CPT) are NOT eligible for this internship.
-Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year institution of higher education and pursuing a Bachelor of Science or Master's Degree in one of our desired engineering disciplines.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Access desired
-Proficient in AutoCAD or similar systems
-Excellent verbal & written communication skills; presentation skills desired
-Official transcripts must be received from your school prior to start date
-Must be in good academic standing with your school
