JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Description: The Advanced Practice Provider
(APP) (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) works as part of a
multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive diagnostic, therapeutic,
and preventive healthcare services for patients in the Department of
Orthopaedic Surgery\'s Community Access Division. This role offers the
opportunity to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in both
inpatient and outpatient settings while collaborating closely with
physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.Key
Responsibilities Perform comprehensive histories and physical exams,
identifying normal and abnormal findings. Order and interpret laboratory
and diagnostic tests. Develop and implement treatment plans, both
pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical. Educate patients and families
regarding disease management, treatment options, and preventive health.
Perform clinical procedures within scope of training and credentialing.
Document care accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Collaborate with supervising physician(s), consulting providers, and
interdisciplinary teams to optimize care. Participate in quality
improvement initiatives, program development, and ongoing education.
Provide continuity of care, ensuring smooth communication across
settings. Meet regulatory and compliance requirements including
privileging, CMS, and Joint Commission standards.Department-Specific
Responsibilities Collaborate with orthopaedic care teams to diagnose and
treat musculoskeletal conditions in a blended clinical environment.
Write timely admission, transfer, procedure, and progress notes. Perform
and interpret screening and diagnostic procedures, communicating results
clearly to patients and teams. Participate in department initiatives to
improve efficiency, safety, and quality outcomes. Stay current on
clinical best practices, trends, and evidence-based guidelines in
orthopaedic care. Desired Attributes Strong interpersonal and
