Our client, a leading logistics and transportation organization, is seeking a Dispatcher to join their team. As a Dispatcher, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting delivery and dispatch services. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Dispatcher

Location: Gilroy, CA

Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Shift: Hours Per Shift: 8 (from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, Monday through Friday)

What's the Job?

Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of delivery operations by communicating with truck drivers via computers, phones, or two-way radios.

Assign drivers to trucks and ensure timely departure and arrival of deliveries.

Maintain constant communication with drivers to answer questions, help avoid traffic issues, and inform about weather conditions.

Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, ensuring questions are answered accurately and promptly.

Track driver progress along routes using available technology and manage trip records efficiently.

What's Needed?

No prior experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Basic proficiency with computers and communication devices.

Availability to work during scheduled hours, Monday through Friday.
