TDI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Configuration Manager to support the configuration management, maintenance, documentation, and quality control, delivery and install efforts of MCS software for DDG-51 Arleigh Burke Class Destroyers. The selected candidate will be interfacing with U.S. Navy civilian software and systems engineers, support contractors, quality control engineers, U.S. Navy ships force, OEMs, and program management. The selected candidate will contribute to the following aspects of the software life cycle including but not limited to requirements, documentation, deployment, audit, support, and maintenance.
The candidate will be expected to complete assigned tasking to meet deadlines. The candidate will be tasked by and report to technical leads within Codes 513, 514 and 517. The candidate will be expected to identify, manage, and maintain configuration deltas among all DDG-51 Class ships; coordinate and lead kickoff meetings and peer reviews; prepare technical documentation in support of software deliveries; and present deliverables during quality assurance audits. The candidate will be expected to provide documented status updates and data mining on a regular basis. The candidate will be expected to work with the program manager to develop software delivery schedules and determine software requirements for ships. The candidate will be expected to be knowledgeable and adhere to all the established Software Engineering Processes. The candidate will also be expected to work with the Development, Systems and Testing teams in delivery prep coordination. The candidate must be detail oriented, an effective communicator, and exemplify flexibility to meet mission requirements in a dynamic work environment.

Requirements
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
tPrepare, maintain and manage Software Requirements
tDevelop and maintain working knowledge of the DDG-51 Machinery Control System
tWrite, review, maintain and configuration manage requirements, design, tools and test procedures and system plans, product specifications, training material and other documentation for the Machinery Control System software and supporting products
tWork with DOORS, Microsoft Office and version control products
tIdentify, document and track problems associated with the DDG-51 MCS products
tLead and moderate peer reviews
tParticipate and conduct quarterly program, ready to test, delivery and other related audits
tReport to management with status and data mining requests
tParticipate in special projects as required
tMaintain inventory and status of delivered media
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
tBachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
t2 to 5 years of experience as a Configuration Manager
tExperience coordinating and leading meetings
tExperience communicating status, risks, problems, and formulating effective solutions
tExperience with requirements management
tExperience with configuring test events in accordance with requirements
*tExperience working in software development environment
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
tProficiency with software configuration management, specifically as it relates to libraries of multiple software baselines, version control, tracking unique updates to software builds, and conducting diffs of source code
tProficiency with Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, and Project)
tProficiency with DOORS
tProficiency with Software Problem Identification Report tracking
tFamiliarity with Wiki and Jira is a plus
tProficiency with technical writing
tAttention to detail and meticulous logging of ship and software configurations
tAbility to prioritize tasking and manage time effectively
tAbility to multi-task and meet deadlines without incurring undue risk or degraded quality
tOutstanding written and verbal communication skills
tOutstanding organizational skills
tFamiliarity with the Waterfall and Iterative Waterfall software development life cycles
tExperience with risk management
tFamiliarity and experience working at CMMI Level 3 or higher

tSuccessful applicants must either have an active government security clearance or the ability to receive approval upon position acceptance. Due to the nature of our work with the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. citizenship is required. Some positions may require the renunciation of any non-U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The work is typically performed in an office environment. Additional work may be performed onboard US Navy Ships (pier side and at sea), which requires proper safety precautions and ability to go up and down shipboard stairways (ladders); work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment.
