As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a dynamic education-focused location. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the property, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all visitors, students, and staff. This is an unarmed, primarily patrol-based position that may also involve driving responsibilities, allowing you to interact with a variety of people and situations throughout your shift. What You'll Do:
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences as required by site procedures.
Assist with emergency response activities as needed, including guiding individuals to designated areas and communicating with emergency personnel.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter disruptive behavior and provide assistance as needed.

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver's license is preferred for driving positions and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
A Guard Card or state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
