Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Mayodan, North Carolina. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining financial accuracy and supporting decision-making processes within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in accounting practices and a solid understanding of general ledger operations.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and oversee month-end close procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Manage general ledger activities, including reconciliations and maintenance of accounts.

Record and review journal entries to maintain compliance with accounting standards.

Reconcile accounts and banks to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently.

Maintain and track fixed assets to ensure proper accounting and inventory management.

Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support strategic business decisions.

Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial processes and reporting.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in month-end close procedures and general ledger management.

Strong skills in preparing and reviewing journal entries.

Proven ability to perform account reconciliations and bank reconciliations.

Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Familiarity with fixed asset accounting and tracking.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
