Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily financial operations and ensure accuracy in all accounting processes. Based in Longmont, Colorado, this role involves managing a range of accounting activities, from accounts payable and receivable to financial reporting and audits. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, proficient in accounting systems, and skilled at leading a team to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

Supervise daily operations within the accounting department, ensuring efficiency and compliance with financial protocols.

Manage and perform key accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking, and general ledger activities.

Analyze accounting data to prepare accurate financial statements and reports.

Develop, implement, and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and best practices.

Oversee month-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.

Conduct monthly reconciliations for accounts payable and receivable between Netsuite and the company's proprietary systems.

Address and resolve accounting-related support tickets promptly and effectively.

Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing processes.

Coordinate and complete annual financial audits, maintaining compliance with regulations.

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an Accounting Manager.

Comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles, policies, and practices.

Proficiency in Netsuite or similar accounting software.

Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with other Office tools.

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of financial data.

Strong multitasking skills and capacity to manage competing priorities.

Demonstrated ability to lead and implement process improvements effectively.
