DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Administrative Officer 1, you will manage the Local Registrar Support Unit and monitor the compliance of all Local Registrars across Pennsylvania which includes 150 districts that register deaths and issue certificates to funeral directors. You will verify the accuracy of payments and reporting, analyze and resolve discrepancies, conduct quality assurance and control checks, and oversee procedural compliance for fee submission. You will also identify non-compliant Local Registrars, implement timely corrective action, and provide additional training. This role requires effective communication to maintain effective public relations and interface with funeral homes across the state. In addition, you will develop and maintain procedural manuals, inspect subordinate work for timeliness and completeness, and review monthly data insight reports to recommend service delivery enhancements across all registration districts.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or

Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
