SUMMARY
The Servicing Manager position for Compliance manages the adherence to the Investor and Insurer regulations in the servicing guides and mortgagee letters. The responsibilities of the position include the management of all Investor and Insurer requirements for data reporting, management of the TRS II scoring methodology to ensure adherence, maintenance and oversight of Policy and Procedures guides to ensure compliance with mortgagee letters and stated servicing requirements. Manage other assigned areas as business needs dictate.
MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate or a related business field
· Two-three years of experience in compliance management of Investor and Insurer regulations, mortgage servicing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the job duties and responsibilities of the job, as determined by The State of Georgia
· Experience in reviewing FHA, Fannie Mae, USDA and VA servicing standards, mortgagee letters and reporting guidelines
· Strong understanding of mortgage loan servicing, loss mitigation, and default documentation
· Ice Solutions (Formerly Black Knight) experience preferred
· Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
· Excellent analytic skills, attention to detail, and ability to work within time constraints
· Self-motivated, comfortable taking initiative and handling multiple projects simultaneously
· Professional and excellent level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
· Solid decision-making skills with display of professionalism in maintaining confidentiality
· Proven problem-solving and team building skills
· Fast learner with the ability to rapidly acquire detailed knowledge of departmental policies, practices and procedures
· Must be organized and possess excellent customer service skills
· Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
· Reports to work on a daily and timely basis
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties:
· Review all servicing processes to ensure policies and procedures align with the prescribed regulations.
· Lead departmental oversight, including staff management, as determined by management.
· Train and develop staff to take on all roles within the department
· Work with external auditor to review reports and conduct internal reviews of processes to ensure alignment.
· Maintain policies and procedures for all functional duties within the department
· Provide continuous training to staff both in classroom training, Teams format or webinar
· Submit required invoices to vendors for payment
· Complete the system processing for all loss mitigation files timely and accurately
· Prepare, scan, and index all documents and files to the document repository
· Accurately and timely update servicing system to reflect current status of files
Communication:
· Respond politely and courteously to inquiries via email and telephone and make sure that any problems presented are resolved
· Ensure all project stakeholders/staff are notified promptly as to the status of a request for assistance or open inquiry
· Communicate with the insurers, investors and vendors and SAAGS to resolve any processing issues, reconciliations or reporting items
· Ensure all inquiries to Investors/Insurers are responded to promptly
· Handle all written correspondence between the various departments with-in State Home Mortgage, Loan Servicing, Loss Mitigation, Investor Reporting, Foreclosure, Escrow, Investors, Insurers and 3rd party vendors
· Excellent level of oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate across a variety of audiences.
Administrative:
· Manage all assigned departments as determined by management from acknowledgement to completion
· Request and follow up on files submitted to vendors for processing functions.
· Ensure all system documentation is adequately recorded and maintained
· Complete and distribute all daily, weekly and monthly reports
· Create policies and procedures for all functional duties
· Perform other related duties, as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, ENVIRONMENT)
This position is salaried. Work hours are 8:00am - 5:00 pm on Monday-Friday with adjusted hours at mid-month and month-end per business needs.
Limited travel required
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential
Office environment
PHYSICAL / SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
Work is principally stationary, but the person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., and constantly operates a computer and other office equipment.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Must be able to perform office-related duties.
Must be able to operate office equipment.
Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, tenants, and community agencies and other entities that provide services.
