Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our clients team on a contract basis in Milwaukie, OR. This role requires strong expertise in accounts payable, journal entries, and month-end processes to support the organization's financial operations effectively. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and excel at managing financial tasks with precision, this opportunity is for you.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage accounts payable to ensure timely and accurate payments.

Handle approximately 60 invoices weekly, including both purchase order and non-purchase order transactions.

Maintain and update journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.

Perform account reconciliations to ensure financial data integrity.

Assist in month-end closing procedures, including preparing necessary reports.

Support ongoing accounts payable operations and address any discrepancies.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial workflows.

Requirements

Proven experience in accounts payable and general ledger management.

Proficiency in processing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

Familiarity with month-end closing procedures.

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
