Staff Accountant - Hospitality (Bilingual)

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and bilingual Staff Accountant with hospitality industry experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting functions, supporting month-end close, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. Experience with BirchStreet or other hospitality-related systems is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform full-cycle accounting including journal entries, account reconciliations, and accruals.

Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.

Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in compliance with GAAP.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.

Support audits by preparing schedules and documentation.

Ensure compliance with company policies and hospitality industry standards.

Collaborate with operations and management to provide financial insights.

Utilize BirchStreet and other accounting systems to streamline reporting and workflow.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.

Bilingual in English and Spanish (oral and written).

Proficiency with BirchStreet, QuickBooks, or other hospitality ERP systems.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices.

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reporting).

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with multi-entity accounting.

Knowledge of hospitality operations and vendor management.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
